Out of the Park Baseball 16 is another installment in the annual series of one of the most popular and challenging baseball manager games. Launched in 1999, the series is the result of the efforts of OOTP Developments, and over the years, it has evolved from a simple text manager to a modern simulator with 3D graphics used during matches. In 2011, the studio created a series called iOOTP Baseball, released for mobile devices.

More about the game

As with most games of this type, our goal in Out of the Park Baseball 16 is to lead our team to a success that can be achieved by taking care of all aspects of it. During the game, we can, among other things, create team lineups and tactics for upcoming matches and assign roles to players. However, we cannot forget about finding new, promising players, making sponsorship deals, transferring players, signing contracts or selling unnecessary players. Taking care of the financial stability of the club and hiring qualified people for key jobs is also important.

Story line

The 2016 edition adds the Australian National League and many of the US and Japanese independent leagues to the huge number of licenses from previous games. The most important of these is the American MLB league, in which we can find up-to-date teams and player statistics during the opening of the 2015 season. The management system for managers and coaches has been completely redesigned. They now have their own unique personalities and preferences, as well as unique abilities.

Game features

There are also new game modes in Out of the Park Baseball 16. Such as Manager Only, GM Only, and GM + Manager. As with every year, the finances, interface and team tactics have been improved. The same can be said for other elements of the game. As with any other release, the audiovisual materials have been improved again, although they are still based on the same, regularly modified engine. This means the realism is even higher thanks to things like weather conditions, much more realistic ball simulation, or better sound effects.
