Ken Follett’s The Pillars of the Earth

Ken Follett’s The Pillars of the Earth: Book 1 is an interesting adventure game based on the historical novel by the famous writer Ken Follett “Pillars of the Earth”. Naturally, the storyline of the film is different from the game – the developers made some changes to the plot to make the game more interesting.
Events in the game take place in the middle of the XII century in England and include seven separate chapters. In spite of the fact that diseases, wars and other hardships are raging all around, residents of a small town decide to decorate the main square with a magnificent cathedral and invite an architect to build it. You will have the opportunity to play for any of the main characters of the book: Alien, Philip or Jack.

Ken Follett’s The Pillars of the Earth Book 1-2 is a classic adventure in the style of finding objects, with two-dimensional colorful graphics, detailed world and characters, as well as an interesting story. Mentioning the latter, it is impossible not to notice that the basis of the local scenario is the well-known work “The Pillars of the Earth” for the authorship of none other than Ken Follet himself.

Here is an episodic adventure, organically divided into 3 main parts – books. The first is “From the Ashes”, the second is “Sowing the Wind” and the third, the final book is The Eye of the Storm. In each of them, over the course of 7 chapters, a certain segment from the lives of three heroes is told: the monk Philip, who became the head of the local abbey, the wanderer Richard and his sister. The game will unfold in Kingsbridge – in a fictional city where poverty and post-war devastation reign.

The gameplay in the adventure quest The Pillars of the Earth is canonical, as for such an unpopular genre. As you progress through, you will have to do various tasks, solve puzzles, get answers to exciting questions, as well as conduct dialogues with highly ambiguous characters. It is worth noting that your decisions and actions entail consequences. Complicated gameplay is also the fact that you will need to delve into the history of each of the three characters separately.
