After a devastating war on the densely populated continent of Kholm, the survivors moved to a previously uninhabited continent called Horga. They were looking for fertile land to start from scratch and rebuild prosperous cities. Learning from past mistakes, the city rulers signed a peace treaty providing for trade between settlements and the exchange of scientific advances to help the development of the new world. But one ruler did not agree with these terms. Vadik from the city of Zamon refused to sign the agreement, for which he was expelled from the union. Nevertheless, he was left with vast territories and loyal people, thanks to whom he managed to build a separate empire.
